Paxata Accelerates International Growth Markets Expansion With Appointment Of Shantanu Srivastava


Industry veteran based in Singapore headquarters to build out international growth markets

Redwood City, Calif. – Aug 2, 2016 – Paxata, provider of the only enterprise-grade self-service data preparation platform, today announced the appointment of Shantanu Srivastava as Senior Vice President and General Manager of International Growth Markets. In his role, Mr. Srivastava will be based in Paxata’s Singapore headquarters and will oversee key growth markets including Asia-Pacific, Japan, India, Middle East and Africa.

Paxata has made considerable progress in executing to its playbook of building out its Asia-centric international growth plan with Singapore serving as the hub of the company’s expansion efforts. In the past year alone the company has received funding from EDBI, the corporate investment arm of the Singapore Economic Development Board, established anchor customer relationships in Singapore and inked a critical partnership with Zalesia, Inc., the leading business intelligence provider in South Korea.

Mr. Srivastava brings over 20 years experience in sales and general management across Asia Pacific. He most recently served as the Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific & Japan at MicroStrategy. During his time at MicroStrategy, he led the growth of business in the region, establishing new operations, recruiting a talented team, building channels, key accounts infrastructure and delivering double digit growth in revenue.

Prior to MicroStrategy, Mr. Srivastava spent nearly nine years in IBM (Cognos) in various sales and general management roles based out of Singapore and Hong Kong. He has also previously served in roles at Hyperion Solutions, Reuters and Ramco Systems. He holds an MBA from SDA Bocconi, Milan (Italy) and a Bachelor in Economics from St Xavier’s College, Mumbai (India).
